Alpha2 is a service from SIL Global that leverages the latest advances in artificial intelligence to provide machine translation and text-to-speech in more than 1,200 languages.
Built on SIL's Serval and other tools, Alpha2 extends those capabilities to translate and voice materials for education, community development, trauma healing, anti-trafficking, and more.
Alpha2 offers base translation models as well as custom fine-tuned models in over 300 languages, with another 900 languages available upon request.
Text-to-speech (TTS) is also available in over 1,000 languages for generating audio line by line from text collections including translations. Higher quality and multi-speaker models based on SpeechT5 are available for finetuning upon request.
